Co-Op Class Info
Each year, Charity Homeschool offers two 8-week co-op class sessions: one in the Fall and one in the Spring. Classes are currently held on Monday afternoons in Penfield, NY.
To participate in co-op classes, families must first become Charity Homeschool members. Memberships officially open up on June 1st for the membership year, but families are welcome to join at any time. To participate in classes, June and January are great times to join. Class registration closes at the end of February for Spring Classes and the end of July for Fall Classes. All who are registering for classes must have an active membership.
Leading up to classes, families receive updates through our weekly newsletter about teaching opportunities, helper sign-ups, and class registration. We first invite members interested in teaching to submit class ideas, and then we share the full class schedule and available helper positions. There are plenty of ways to help, so you may choose whether or not you want to teach. Class registration is opened in stages based on volunteer participation points earned through serving on our co-op class days.
Below, you’ll find a sample class grid and examples of classes that have been offered in past sessions. Because our classes are taught by volunteer parents and community members, each session is unique and shaped by the interests, talents, and passions of our teachers.
